Cambridgeshire School of Photography
Courses & Workshops
Cambridgeshire School of Photography is now based along with The Works Studio at Whitehall Farm (PE19 6SS) in the village of Croxton, on the A428 about four miles from St Neots. The new facility has been designed with a purpose built teaching studio with seating for 20 students.
Whilst the school is very new and much of what we are planning is still under construction the parts that are finished are offering a superb facility to learn photography in a working professional studio.
Our aim at the Cambridgeshire School of Photography is quite simple, we want you to become better photographers. It does not matter whether you are a professional or amateur photographer, we can help you improve your photographic skills. There is the old adage “Those Who Can’t Do, Teach!” whilst we don’t totally agree with this quote, there is an element of truth in the saying. We are proud to say we are not a full time teaching establishment, the school is based in a professional photographic studio and our tutors are not full time tutors either, they spend a lot of their time ‘doing’ so when you sign up for one of our courses or workshop you can be sure you are being mentored by someone who knows what they are talking about.
Martyn Rayner the Principal of the school said: “I have always felt there was a need for a school like this, bridging the gulf between traditional evening classes, and the more academic establishment who run degree, HND and NVQ courses. We offer short courses on very specific areas of photography and want to provide a learning experience that is both informative and also entertaining.
We understand many of our clients may have full time jobs or be in full time education, we therefore run our courses in an evening class format as well as day time classes and also weekend workshops.”
